Programme 90 – Bishara Deeb (student at NETS)
My guest today, Bishara Deeb, was born and went to school in Nazareth and, several years later, he still lives there with his wife and family. Bishara gave up a successful business to study the Bible at the Nazareth
Evangelical Theological Seminary, or NETS for short. Why? Because he wants to share his faith in the Arab villages surrounding Nazareth.MP3 Download: Download programme 90

Today I’m taking you to Nazareth which lies to the West of the Sea of Galilee in northern Israel. Nazareth today is an Arab town and we’re going to visit Dr Azar Ajar, an Arab Christian who is Dean of Students and a lecturer at the Nazareth Evangelical Theological Seminary, or NETS for short. We will also be hearing from some of the students.
This college is the realisation of a dream that Azar had some time ago to train young Arab Christians and prepare them for church leadership in Israel in the future.MP3 Download: Download programme 89
Programme 88 – Patrick (at Beit Nitzachon)
My guest today is Patrick … he was born in Holland into a Jewish family. He has lived in Israel for many years as you will hear, and for most of those years he has been addicted to heroin. When I first met Patrick he looked very
ill … he had just arrived at Beit Nitzachon or the House of Victory – a faith based drug rehab centre in Haifa, northern Israel where the director, Eric Benson is a Christian. The philosophy of Beit Nitzachon is very simple –
prayer. And it works … because when I saw Patrick recently, just 16 months after coming to Beit Nitzachon I didn’t recognise him. He had transformed from somebody at death’s door, to a man who looked fit, bright and happy.MP3 Download: Download programme 88

Programme 76 – Marianna
It’s well known that Israeli Jews come from many different backgrounds. One of the largest groups to emigrate to Israel have come from the former Soviet Union and my guest today is one such person. Originally from St Petersburg, Marianna came to Israel almost 15 years ago. Her father is a poet and writer. Her mother is a theatre director. The family is Jewish but not religious so Marianna grew up in a communist country in a secular environment. At the age of 18 something happened to Marianna and she started to believe that God exists. When we met recently in Netanya, a town in Israel, she told me what happened.MP3 Download: Download programme 76
