Programme 262 – Gefen
The vast majority of these programmes are recorded in Israel … I visit the places where the people live. But for today’s programme, I met my guest, who is called Gefen, in London. She was here from Tel Aviv during the summer working with a team of fellow missionaries from Jews for Jesus – an organisation that works in major cities around the world to share their faith with Jewish people. However, the reality is they talk to far more non-Jews!
So, I asked Gefen, what’s it like going out onto the streets of London wearing a Jews for Jesus T shirt handing out tracts and talking to people about Jesus?

Shmuel Salway is one of a growing number of Messianic Jewish believers living in Israel. He is married with a young family and he is the associate pastor of a congregation in Tel Aviv. There are many Christian Arabs living in Israel who can trace their family back generations and they, like Israeli Jews, believe God has a part for them to play in these days. If you are under the impression that Jewish people and Arab or Palestinian people who share this tiny country are constantly at war with one another then you will be interested to hear that amongst believers in Jesus, there is a growing unity between these two groups as Shmuel explains.
