Julia Fisher talks to David & Leah Ortiz – David, originally from Puerto Rico and Leah, an American Jewess, emigrated to Israel in 1985 with three children and settled in BeerSheva in the south of Israel. They had three more sons and after a few years moved to Ariel, a mainly orthodox Jewish city. They were keen to share their belief in Jesus with the people there and this is the story of how they faced severe persecution which almost cost the life of one of their sons. I started by asking David whether they knew of other believers when they first moved to Ariel.
Our aim is to build bridges… To build bridges of understanding and support, in a spirit of reconciliation, between believers (both Jewish and Arab) in the Holy Land (Israel and the Palestinian Areas) and Christians worldwide.
