OT475 – How life changed from being a religious orthodox Jew – Zacharia Arne with Julia Fisher 2 of 2

May 10, 2020

Julia Fisher talks to Zacharia Arne- along with his widowed mother and other siblings, he came to Israel from Ethiopia when he was 13 years old. His grandfather was a rabbi and for Zacharia it was his ambition to follow in his footsteps and he spent three years studying in a Yeshiva for young Orthodox Jews. However, that wasn’t to be because today he is the pastor of a Messianic congregation in Haifa as well as working full time for the Haifa Municipality helping people with addiction to drugs and alcohol. I was keen to find out how his life changed from being a religious orthodox Jew and started by asking him about his time at university.

Our aim is to build bridges… To build bridges of understanding and support, in a spirit of reconciliation, between believers (both Jewish and Arab) in the Holy Land (Israel and the Palestinian Areas) and Christians worldwide.
