Julia Fisher talks to Zacharia Arne- Today’s podcast comes to you from Haifa in northern Israel where I’ve come to meet Zacharia, an Ethiopian Jew with a fascinating story. Over the past 70 years, thousands of Jewish people have returned to live in Israel having been dispersed around the world for 2000 years. Many consider this to be a fulfilment of Biblical prophecy so it’s always interesting to meet such people and hear their stories and listen to their understanding of what God is doing in these days. Today Zacharia has two jobs – he works full time for the Haifa Municipality helping people with drug and alcohol addiction by day and in the evenings and at weekends, he leads a congregation comprising mainly of Ethiopians.

Our aim is to build bridges… To build bridges of understanding and support, in a spirit of reconciliation, between believers (both Jewish and Arab) in the Holy Land (Israel and the Palestinian Areas) and Christians worldwide.
