OT455 – “If I die, I’m going to heaven. But not you” – Rhema Halabi with Julia Fisher

Dec 22, 2019

Julia Fisher talks to Rhema Halabi. She is 64 years old and for the past 15 years has been the bookshop manager for the Immanuel Evangelical Church on Manger Street in Bethlehem. Why is her story remarkable? As you will hear, for many years she was a nominal orthodox Christian. But during a dangerous time of war, it was her 7 year old son who told her that if she died she wouldn’t go to heaven because she wasn’t a Christian. This came as such a shock, that she determined to find the truth.

Our aim is to build bridges… To build bridges of understanding and support, in a spirit of reconciliation, between believers (both Jewish and Arab) in the Holy Land (Israel and the Palestinian Areas) and Christians worldwide.
