Stuart Fisher talks to Evan Thomas – Today’s programme is significant because it’s the story of how one congregation in Netanya called Beit Asaph is sending out a missionary to Uganda. Why is this unusual you ask? Because for the past 40 years or so, the numbers of believers living in Israel has been growing very slowly and their emphasis has been on survival within their own nation. However, all that is changing and gradually mission abroad is not only being talked about, it is happening! To find out more about this story, we met Evan Thomas, the pastor of Beit Asaph and Stuart Fisher asked him, why Uganda?
Our aim is to build bridges… To build bridges of understanding and support, in a spirit of reconciliation, between believers (both Jewish and Arab) in the Holy Land (Israel and the Palestinian Areas) and Christians worldwide.
