Julia Fisher talks to Raja. Today I’m in Jerusalem, in the heart of the Old City talking to Raja who is an Israeli Arab. Like the majority of Arabs who live in the Old City, he describes himself as a Palestinian – as you will hear. He is 54 years old, married with 6 children and to date has 7 grandchildren. Born into a Catholic family, he grew up in the Old City. His father died when he was only 10 and if that wasn’t tough enough for a young boy, the political unrest in the Old City was gathering momentum and Raja’s life soon spiralled out of control. This is the story of what God is doing to transform seemingly impossible situations.
Our aim is to build bridges… To build bridges of understanding and support, in a spirit of reconciliation, between believers (both Jewish and Arab) in the Holy Land (Israel and the Palestinian Areas) and Christians worldwide.
