Julia Fisher talks to Nihad Salman – Today we’re in Bethlehem having lunch with Nihad Salman and his wife … Nihad is the pastor of an evangelical church there and it is important to understand that Christians in Bethlehem represent a tiny percentage of the population, the majority being Muslim. So you might think that they are afraid and discouraged. However, the reality is very different … here is a church sending out missionaries! I started by asking Nihad to explain more about the sense of urgency he feels about what God is doing not only in Bethlehem but in the wider Middle East.
Our aim is to build bridges… To build bridges of understanding and support, in a spirit of reconciliation, between believers (both Jewish and Arab) in the Holy Land (Israel and the Palestinian Areas) and Christians worldwide.
