Julia Fisher talks to Burghard Schunkert – Come with me to Beit Jala, a suburb of Bethlehem, to meet Burghard Schunkert, director of a centre for disabled children called Lifegate. This is a place of sheer excellence – for Burghard, a Christian from Germany – a dream come true. He first had that dream 30 years ago as he now explains.
