Julia Fisher talks to ‘Benjamin’ – On the programme today, the story of an American teenage Jew who found himself living in Israel. Imagine leaving the freedom of life in America to move to the Middle East where religious identity defines who you are and where you are expected to conform to Israeli life, which for an 18 year old means entering the Israeli army. I met Benjamin, not his real name, in Tel Aviv recently and he shared his story.
