Julia Fisher talks to Patrick. He was born in Holland to a Jewish family who moved to Australia where Patrick spent his early life. Much to his disappointment, his parents then moved to Israel – and it was here that Patrick’s life descended into a nightmare that was to last over 30 years. He started busing alcohol and soft drugs in his early teens. For some years he managed to hold down a responsible and successful career as a professional chef despite being addicted to heroin. However, by the age of 42 he was living on the streets of Tel Aviv – his life in tatters and about to end.
Our aim is to build bridges… To build bridges of understanding and support, in a spirit of reconciliation, between believers (both Jewish and Arab) in the Holy Land (Israel and the Palestinian Areas) and Christians worldwide.
