Julia Fisher talks to Elizabeth Atteih – Today finds us in Haifa in northern Israel talking to Elizabeth Atteih. She comes from an Armenian family and her husband Najeeb, is an Israeli Arab. They run a Christian bookshop in Haifa and lead a church which meets in the garage of Najeeb’s parent’s home. As you are about to hear, they both come from challenging backgrounds. However, when we met recently, they were full of stories and feeling very encouraged as Elizabeth now explains.
Our aim is to build bridges… To build bridges of understanding and support, in a spirit of reconciliation, between believers (both Jewish and Arab) in the Holy Land (Israel and the Palestinian Areas) and Christians worldwide.
