OT202 – Scriptures that inspired the early days – David & Karen Davis with Julia Fisher 2 of 3

Jun 26, 2014

Julia Fisher talks to David & Karen Davis – Today finds us in Haifa – a unique city in northern Israel where Jews and Arabs live side by side and co-exist together. It’s built on the side of Mount Carmel which rises steeply. I met David and Karen Davis in a hotel on the top of the mountain and we sat overlooking the vast panorama of Haifa Bay – the old part of the city lies near the docks, the oil refinery is off to the right, the Bahai temple with its immaculate gardens runs from the top of the city to the area known as the German Colony below. There is a university, hospitals and schools, and a growing number of congregations. In this programme we continue with David and Karen’s story. I started by asking them about some of the Scriptures that inspired them in their early days in the land over 20 years ago.

Our aim is to build bridges… To build bridges of understanding and support, in a spirit of reconciliation, between believers (both Jewish and Arab) in the Holy Land (Israel and the Palestinian Areas) and Christians worldwide.
