Julia Fisher talks to David & Karen Davis – Welcome to this week’s edition of The Olive Tree where we return to Haifa in northern Israel and a recent meeting with David and Karen Davis who have lived there for over 20 years and established a centre to help addicts called House of Victory and a worship centre on Mt Carmel where believers from Jewish, Druze and Arab backgrounds meet together each week. David and Karen also travel a great deal carrying the message of God’s heart for Israel and her Jewish and Arab population. So in order to help us understand and be aware of the times in which we are living within a Biblical context, and to understand a little more about the complexity that is the Middle East, Karen begins this programme by introducing a talk recently given by her husband based on the story of Joseph.
Our aim is to build bridges… To build bridges of understanding and support, in a spirit of reconciliation, between believers (both Jewish and Arab) in the Holy Land (Israel and the Palestinian Areas) and Christians worldwide.
