Julia Fisher talks to David & Karen Davis – This week we are back in Haifa in northern Israel talking to David and Karen Davis. They came from New York to live in Israel over 20 years ago. David is not Jewish – Karen is and from the start they understood that God was calling them to work amongst both Arab and Jewish people. Early on they realised that many Israelis were seriously addicted to drugs and alcohol so they opened a centre called The House of Victory. They also started a congregation which today meets on Mt Carmel. In this interview I asked them to explain how they came to understand God’s heart for Israel and for both Jewish and Arab people and you will hear some of Karen’s music woven through the programme.
Our aim is to build bridges… To build bridges of understanding and support, in a spirit of reconciliation, between believers (both Jewish and Arab) in the Holy Land (Israel and the Palestinian Areas) and Christians worldwide.
