Julia Fisher talks to David & Karen Davis – Welcome to this week’s edition of The Olive Tree which finds us in Haifa in northern Israel talking to David and Karen Davis. David used to be an actor and director on Broadway, and Karen, who is Jewish, was a musician. They have lived in Israel for over 20 years. They started a rehab centre for people with addictions. They then found themselves leading a congregation. And today that congregation is based on Mt Carmel and embraces both Jews, Druze and Arab people. So how did it all begin? I put it to David that it all started when he met Karen!
Our aim is to build bridges… To build bridges of understanding and support, in a spirit of reconciliation, between believers (both Jewish and Arab) in the Holy Land (Israel and the Palestinian Areas) and Christians worldwide.
