OT154 – Relieved and delighted at a transition – Shira Sorko-Ram with Julia Fisher

Jun 6, 2013

Julia Fisher talks to Shira Sorko-Ram in Tel Aviv where Shira and her husband Ari, have been pastors of a congregation call

Messianic Jewed Tifferet Yeshua since they started it several years ago. As well as leading a congregation they also run MAOZ – a humanitarian aid charity that supports those in need – both Jewish and Arab people. They also run conferences and events for the benefit of the entire body of believers in Israel. And they have always had a great compassion for Israeli Arab Christians and have done much to support them. But Ari and Shira are getting on now – they are not as young as they used to be! So what happens when a pioneering couple such as them have to look around to see who can take on the task? Here Shira shares how the transition is taking place in their situation – and how relieved and delighted they are!

Our aim is to build bridges… To build bridges of understanding and support, in a spirit of reconciliation, between believers (both Jewish and Arab) in the Holy Land (Israel and the Palestinian Areas) and Christians worldwide.
