OT139 – “I’ll marry you again” – Ofer Amitai with Julia Fisher 3 of 3

Feb 21, 2013

Julia Fisher talks to Ofer Amitai – How do we make sense of the news that is coming out of the Arab nations with their current turmoil, and Israel who finds herself constantly in the glare of controversy and criticism? This short weekly programme aims to help by shifting attention away from politics onto the stories of what God is doing through the believers who live in the Holy Land – both Jewish people and Arab and Palestinian Christians. After all, they are the ones who are living under this pressure and trying to make sense of what is going on around them as well as believing God’s Word and understanding what it has to say about world events. My guest today is well qualified to talk about these matters. His name is Ofer Amitai. His family have lived in Israel for generations. He was born and grew up there. He lives just outside Jerusalem. He is the pastor of a Messianic congregation and the leader of a prayer movement. I asked him to explain to us from the Scriptures what he believes God is doing in Israel and the wider Middle East today. Our aim is to build bridges… To build bridges of understanding and support, in a spirit of reconciliation, between believers (both Jewish and Arab) in the Holy Land (Israel and the Palestinian Areas) and Christians worldwide. olivetreefund.org
