Newsletter No 34 – July 2014

Dear Friends of the Olive Tree Reconciliation Fund,

It was wonderful to meet so many of you at the Inaugural Olive Tree meeting in Loxwood Chapel on Saturday 7th June when Labib Madanat came to speak. Thank you for coming! We certainly enjoyed a packed house with standing room only! The meeting was professionally recorded by Tim Hartnell, who also edits and produces our radio programme, The Olive Tree and is available to listen to on our website If you would prefer a CD of this important talk, please write to the OTRF, PO Box 850, Horsham, West Sussex, RH12 9GA enclosing a cheque made out to the OTRF (suggest a donation of £5) to cover production and postage. Thankyou.

Our next Olive Tree meeting here in the UK will be on Saturday 4th October, 2014 when Evan Thomas will be coming from Netanya where he is pastor of Beit Asaph Messianic congregation. Evan is a good friend of the OTRF and one of our advisors. As well as being a well respected Messianic leader in Israel, he is also a brave voice in the area of reconciliation, always ready to go the ‘extra mile’ in order to build relationships with Arab and Palestinian Christians. Reconciliation is an area that is often misunderstood and sometimes heavily criticised. Evan has shown time and time again that he is not afraid to put his reputation on the line in order to stand shoulder to shoulder with his Palestinian brothers and sisters whilst at the same time not compromising on Biblical truths about Israel and the Jewish people.
